Dr Yunjie Yang is an Associate Professor and GAIL (Generative AI Laboratory) Fellow at the Institute for Imaging Data and Communications (IDCOM), School of Engineering, The University of Edinburgh.
Dr Zhe Liu
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Zhe’s research focuses on biomedical imaging with machine learning. He has expertise in developing algorithms for image reconstruction and image processing. Additionally, he specialises in methodologies for robotic perception.
Dr Shilong Yao
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Shilong received the Ph.D degree from City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include novel actuator, soft robotics and medical robotics.
Dr Hao Yu
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Hao Yu received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Currently, he is exploring advanced artificial intelligence techniques for medical imaging applications.
Huazhi Dong
PhD student
Huazhi Dong's research focuses on multi-modal e-skins and machine learning for embodied intelligence. His research interests include electronic skin, soft robotics, and machine learning.
Hao Fang
PhD student
Hao Fang's research interests include but are not limited to, deep learning, medical imaging, and tomography. He works on three-dimensional multi-modal imaging and learning for medical engineering.
Sihao Teng
PhD student
Sihao's research focus is on creating integrated fabrication and sensing for robotics.
Xiaopeng Wu
PhD student
Xiaopeng's research focuses on edge perception and AI for robotics. Additionally, he aims to create a synthetic dataset with high-quality labelled data, based on the soft robotic perception system and digital twin technology.
Lin Li

Lin's research focuses on advanced learning for multi-modal robotic perception and control.
