Dr Yunjie Yang is an Associate Professor and GAIL (Generative AI Laboratory) Fellow at the Institute for Imaging Data and Communications (IDCOM), School of Engineering, The University of Edinburgh.
Dr Zhe Liu
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Zhe’s research focuses on biomedical imaging with machine learning. He has expertise in developing algorithms for image reconstruction and image processing. Additionally, he specialises in methodologies for robotic perception.
Huazhi Dong

Huazhi Dong's research focuses on multi-modal e-skins and machine learning for embodied intelligence. His research interests include electronic skin, soft robotics, and machine learning.
Hao Fang
PhD student
Hao Fang's research interests include but are not limited to, deep learning, medical imaging, and tomography. He works on three-dimensional multi-modal imaging and learning for medical engineering.
Bingnan Liu
Joint PhD student with KU Leuven
Ronald B. Liu is pursuing a PhD in Electronics Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and a joint PhD in Bioengineering at KU Leuven. His research focuses on applying AI to biomedical engineering applications.

Hafeez works on CFD and machine learning-assisted multiphase flow imaging and data analysis.
Sihao Teng
PhD student
Sihao's research focus is on creating flexible electronic skins for soft robots, enabling robots to perceive their own morphological changes and external stimuli.
